Marilyn and her staff are food designers, and the cakes are always a work of art. They are the best decorators in the city of Portland and they can do whatever you can dream up.

Gourmet Cakes

• Cheesecake Wedding Cake: decadent and beautiful. YUM! Choose from vanilla, chocolate marble, deep chocolate, Kahlua, white chocolate and more!
• Award-Winning Fantasy Cake: voted favorite of the year. Each tier consists of cheesecake, choice of filling, and cake. What a surprise!
• Carrot: a wonderfully moist, spicy carrot cake made with pineapple.
• Irish Oatmeal: a moist oatmeal spice cake with a real homemade texture.
• Double Chocolate Fudge: the chocolate lover's choice... made with coffee and buttermilk, this cake is almost black with chocolate.
• Poppyseed: made with sour cream and filled with marionberries.
• Cream Cheese Pound Cake: a dense cake, rich with cream cheese frosting.
• Apple Rum: packed with apples, raisins, and walnuts.
• Banana Pineapple: moist banana cake complemented with a hint of rum.
• Lemon Coconut: a maniage of fresh squeezed lemon and coconut.

Fillings can be Chocolate Orange Brandy, Baileys, Caramel, Espresso, Marionberry, Raspberry, Apricot, German Chocolate, Fudge, Cream Cheese Icing, Lemon, Cherry, an Strawberry. YUM!

To have a wider range of tastes in your wedding cake, you can fill each tier with a different flavor.

Cake Design Increases Price

Sheet cakes look like grocery store cakes. We like to do larage round cakes to lower your wedding cake price. Or maybe a smaller cake with a side cake.

Cake Delivery Service

To ensure your cake arrives safely, a Piece of Cake decorator will deliver your disassembled cake to the reception site. There, the cake tiers are removed from their boxes and stacked (either directly on top of each other, on pillars or on separate pedestals) in lovely fashion.

If tiers are stacked on top of each other, the decorator then puts the bottom borders on each tier.

Where to Begin

In the early stages of planning your wedding, call or email us first to set up an appointment. However, if you're in the neighborhood, by all means stop by the shop.

Come in and relax in our dining room. You can taste up to 8 different kinds of cake. We'll have some coffee or tea while we talk.

Anniversary Cake

If you purchase your wedding cake from Piece of Cake, you can bring in a photograph of the cake and get a free anniversary cake of the same flavors. The photograph must be clear and of good quality, and you must be able to leave the photo with Marilyn for use in our photo album.
